A. When a door is required to open up 180 degrees it usually needs to clear a projection around the door frame. In this situation you would use either “parliament” or “projection” hinges. The screw holes on these hinges are lined towards the edge of the hinge flap therefore, after fitting the knuckle projects beyond the edge of the door. The further the projection, the greater the angle of opening.
